Apartment Coffee: Where Minimalism Meets Exceptional Brews

Tucked away on Selegie Road, Apartment Coffee is a quiet sanctuary in the heart of one of Singapore's busiest districts. The space is well-designed for the appreciation of truly exceptional coffee.

Walking into Apartment Coffee feels like stepping into someone's meticulously curated living room. The white walls, the minimalist wooden shelving, the large windows letting in natural light, everything about the space says slow down.

The counter then presents you with a row of V60s, lined up like instruments waiting to be played. Glass carafes reflecting the light, and ceramic cups arranged with care. This is a cafe that truly deserves its spot as the world's 6th specialty cafe.

I ordered the Ethiopia Banko Gotiti.

When it arrived, the first thing I noticed was the aroma. Delicate, floral, with a hint of stone fruit. The first sip confirmed the card: bright apricot up front, a soft honeyed sweetness in the middle, and a clean, almost tea-like finish with a whisper of hibiscus.

It was the kind of cup that reminded me why I started writing about coffee in the first place.

Drinking coffee from a ceramic cup changes the experience.

The weight, texture, and heat retention. Apartment Coffee understands this. The ceramic cups are handcrafted, and no two are exactly alike. Each one feels like it was made for the person holding it.

Apartment Coffee is not a place to rush. It's a place to sit, to breathe, and to taste.

The Ethiopia Banko Gotiti was one of the best cups I've had in Singapore. The space is calm and considered. The ceramic cup made the experience feel personal.

If you're a filter coffee lover, or you want to become one, this is the place to start.
